Roma Urban

Roma Urban — A Simple, Lasting Choice for Everyday Spaces

Roma Urban is Anchor by Panasonic’s everyday modular switch range — built for homes and offices where you want switches that look clean and work reliably for years, without paying for features most rooms don’t actually need.

Like other modular switch ranges, Roma Urban lets an electrician combine switches, sockets and other accessories on a single wall plate, in whatever layout the room calls for. A bedroom might need two light switches and a fan regulator on one plate; a kitchen counter might need two sockets side by side. Because the pieces are modular, that’s a straightforward combination to put together rather than a custom order.

Where Roma Urban earns its place is in buildings where walls get touched, bumped and cleaned constantly — rental homes, hostels, offices, shared spaces. The plates are built to take that daily wear without the finish wearing thin or the switches going loose in their housing, which is the usual complaint with cheaper switch ranges after a year or two.

It’s a good fit when you want a tidy, uniform look across a whole flat or office without spending on the higher-end ranges in the same family — Roma Classic or Roma Plus — which add design flourishes that cost more per plate. For a landlord fitting out multiple units, or a builder handling a large residential project, that price difference adds up fast across dozens of switch points.

We stock Roma Urban switches, sockets and the matching accessory range as a distributor based in Hyderabad, serving electricians and contractors across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. If you’re deciding between Roma Urban and one of the higher ranges for a specific project, our team can talk through the trade-offs and current stock before you commit to an order — get in touch through the Enquiry page.

A common approach we see on larger projects is mixing ranges deliberately rather than using one range throughout the building. Roma Urban goes into utility areas, service corridors, store rooms and tenant-facing units where durability matters more than styling, and a higher-end range is kept for lobbies, common areas or owner-occupied units where the finish is on display. That split keeps the overall fit-out budget in check without making compromises visible in the spaces that matter most to a client. It also means a single building project can combine two Roma ranges on one purchase order, since the connecting components use the same base-plate system across the whole family, so switching ranges room to room does not complicate the electrician’s job.
